While Michigan can certainly be my happy place, the one thing we are missing is mountains... yes, yes, yes, I know we have the beautiful Porcupine Mountains, but nothing compares to the Great Smoky Mountains, it was love at first sight for me. Now my life obsessions are basically mountains, rivers and forests and I ain't mad at it. So, I blended all my favorite things in this piece including a sunrise shimmer on the mountain tops. The top part is carved to add a realistic texture to the mountains and give some depth. The bottom section encases rocks and a few shells in turquoise resin and layers of waves within. There are hooks across the whole piece so while it is art, it also has a useful purpose. I hope you enjoy!
