I adore making these "portals" into Michigan. I can create any world I want within these layers of resin and I wanted one that displayed all that the nature Michigan has to offer. There is everything from butterflies, flowers, a forest of pine trees, and I was even able to tuck a little morel in there. The moss and rocks at the bottom actually protrude from the resin to bring a little life to it. I love when my pieces break boundaries because it adds so much visual interest, like the layers are growing right out of the frame.
